All positive energy in your life starts from self-love. Here in this article 4 top tips on how to fall in love with yourself are given. Each of them are easy but involves time and care about yourself in your daily life. Exercise can help you keep fit and healthy. Diet can help shape your body and figure. Proper rest can give you energy and meditation is the best way to help you manage your stress.
Exercise
If, like me, your relationship ended, and you found yourself with some extra pounds, now is the perfect time to add some exercise into your routine. I workout less than thirty minutes a day, and I'm addicted to those endorphins, not to mention the fact that my pants still fit. You'll be hard- pressed to find folks who added regular exercise into their life and aren't happy about it. In The Successful Single Mom Gets Fit, I'm sharing my tips for making exercise fit into our already hectic and filled lives.
When all else fails, you can go for an after-dinner walk (yes, with the kids) or incorporate some yoga into your morning. My favorite yoga book is Happy Yoga by Steve Ross. He writes about the benefits of yoga and why it’s lasted for so long. I do my best to hit the mat a couple of times a week, and I feel like it truly makes a difference. Whatever you do, do something because it will only help you feel better immediately following your exercise, and over the rest of your day as well.
Diet
What you eat and don’t eat make a major difference in how you feel. If your diet consists of foods that don’t feed your body effectively, you’re going to feel and see the difference. When you eat healthy intentionally, drink more water, and watch your portion sizes, you will have more energy, see your weight settle at a natural place, and even sleep better.
Rest
Without enough sleep, I’m wearing my cranky pants. There’s no doubt about that! I need at least 7-8 hours of sleep a night, and without it; I’m simply not at my best.
When I go to bed “on time” I actually wake up before my 5 a.m. alarm and have enough stamina and energy to handle whatever comes in my direction throughout the day.
Meditation
Meditation is my secret weapon for managing the stress of motherhood, business-ownership, life in general, and of course, my marriage. I discovered The Silva Method in my early 20s, and within that method is an amazing 26-minute meditation that I do almost every day (and twice in a row on days when I didn’t get enough sleep). Each relaxation cycle is equal to three-to-four hours of sleep. I used it just last week multiple times a day after surviving a week of my sweet kitten being in heat and meowing for six straight days. If you're like me, turning off your brain for even five minutes is virtually impossible! I use guided meditations, and they work wonders. Even though it took me quite a while to be able to just listen to the meditation, relax, and not allow my monkey mind to take over, it was worth sticking with it. Meditation is definitely a gift you should look into giving yourself!
