Whether you find the love of your life tomorrow or ten years from now, I want you to look and feel great every single day. Here’s a collection of tips to help, and I hope you try the ones that sound great to you, and hopefully they inspire others. Following these tips such as buying gifts for yourself and doing massage regularly, will certainly help improve your self-confidence and make your feel great about your life.
•Get fully groomed. Book a mani; pedi, facial, bikini wax, haircut, color, and highlights - the works. By setting aside time to take care of yourself, you're taking ownership of your self-confidence.
•Get a crush. Find a brand-new, grown-up crush (hello, George Clooney!). It's great to fantasize. Think of your imagination as your own private playground and feel free to bring who ever you want along on “the trip” with you.
•Dress up underneath. Instead of the same old boring skivvies, wear your prettiest bra and parity set underneath your everyday attire. If you don’t have any, go and get some. Knowing you've got hot underwear on makes you feel sexy and self-assured, even if the only person who sees them is you.
•Give a gift to yourself for no reason. Don't wait for a holiday to give a gift to yourself or to receive a gift from someone. It’s not the cost; it’s the effort, and we all deserve to give ourselves gifts on a regular basis. Quite possibly you’re the only person right now who knows what will make you truly happy.
•Try something new. Take a dance class, learn French or Italian, or see an improv comedy show. When you take your life off of autopilot, you create new energy and excitement. You might even run into someone special while you’re out having a great time.
•Dress up. I never loved dressing up until I discovered fashion blogs. Now I love putting together outfits that express my personality. It’s fun to play dress up and even more fun to get compliments on how good you'll look. We all have swagger when we know we look great. Get yourself some swagger!
•Get your sweat on. Along the lines of trying something new, I took up spinning this year. I love it! I've also discovered there are a lot of great-looking, healthy, and single men in my classes. Why didn't I spin when I was single.. .? Anyway, the folks are friendly, and when you're new, you can get help adjusting your bike. It’s like that anywhere at the gym, and I’m addicted to the endorphins that come with my workouts. You’ll be, look, and feel healthier, and what is more attractive than that?
•Treat yourself to a massage. I prefer someone coming to my home so I can roll out off the table and into the tub or even right into bed. There are lots of cost-effective solutions, including to help fulfill your need for touch. Well talk more about this topic later.
Keep this in mind: when you feel great about you, other people feel great about you! There's no reason not do the things that make you feel amazing about yourself. When you can truly love yourself, there will be plenty of space for someone else to love you, too.
