Work Smart and Work Hard in the Room

It is something I learned from the amazing Dwayne “The Rock” Johnsom. He always belives in being the hardest working person in the room, and that has made him what he is today. Don’t shy away from hard work. Push yourself and keep testing your limits. That is the only way you will be free of them. Limitations in life are only there when you allow them to be. Sometimes, having targets that take you beyond your comfort level really does help you with your productivity and make you feel very positive about your achievements. However, don’t be a drudge. Don’t let other people put work onto you that isn’t really your work. Being a hard worker doesn’t mean taking abuse from other workers just because you achieve mroe than they do. You have to find a neat balance whereby your work is done efficiently and you are free to help others, but you don’t do their work for them. That’s not what this is about and “doormats” rarely feel happy about being used. Instead of that, structure your own work and free up more of your time so that you suffer less stress. Choose your options. Volunteer to help but don’t let people walk all over you. Make sure that if you are more productive, you get recognized for that production by being paid right for what you do.

Working hard really brings great benefits for you. First, hard work helps to build your character. Through hard work, you can learn to discipline, learn to focus, learn to manage your time and your resources. You can even learn to ignore the critics who are telling you it can’t be done. A strong character is built the same way strong muscles are built. Second, hard work with smartness gets reward. Through hard work, you can always learn to accomplish something. You may learn something, you may change something. Instead, your laziness doesn’t result in anything but wasted time and resources. Third, hard work draws attention. If you work hard with smartness, you’ll certainly get noticed. Give 110% to whatever you’re doing. Whatever you do, do it with great passion! Put your heart into it! Fourth, hard work brings new opportunities. Those who work hard can wait oppotunities to open doors while only the lazy complain about the lack of luck. Thomas Jefferson once said, “I’m a greater believer in luck and I find the harder I work the more I have of it.”

“Whatever you do, do it with all your heart (Colossains 3:23)”. Even though the current society is developing fast and so many people get enough food to nourish themselves. On the other hand, many people seem not so hard working and even become lazy. Actually, whatever the obstacles, hard work has benefits that should not be overlooked or avoided. There is a saying “No one ever drowned in sweat.” Whatever you do, do it hard and worth!
