There really are few preparations or necessary items other than some oil and a quiet, warm place to lie during the massage. Table, mat or blanket may be good choice to make a warm place for your partner to lie on and enjoy.
Oils.
Natural oils like coconut, sesame, safflower, almond, soy, or avocado work well. Some natural oils like olive, peanut, or corn oil can be too thick and don't spread or ab-sorb as easily. Adding some scent to these oils or burning already scented oil can add to this sensuous experience. Be sure to warm both the oil and your hands before applying, and use only enough oil so the hands move smoothly over the skin—don't saturate to a greasy feel.
Two types of containers work well for storing the oil during the massage. You can put it in a shallow bowl and dip your hand in it. Perhaps even better is a plastic squeeze bottle that allows you to control the amount and won’t spill if it turns over. This also allows you to place the oil on the skin and massage it in, or you can squeeze some on the back ofyour hand and massage it in while maintaining your rhythm.
Table or mat.
A bed does not work well because it is too soft and will prevent firm, even pressure. If you have a table that comes to your upper thigh, find a mat or a piece of foam rubber or use blankets and towels to put over it.
You may not have a table of about thirty inches in height, but don’t let that be a roadblock. Put a mat or blankets and towels on che floor. You can get a mat or a piece of foam at a sporting goods store and create a comfortable pallet. Place a pillow under your knees to soften the floor as you give the massage.
